I would also imagine the reaction to my approach to be somewhat more defensive. That the opponents might try to free themselves from my grip or be startled by the knife. Which brings me to my next point. The reaction of the body when the knife penetrates is not bad, but you can only stab, not cut. And a chainsaw is clearly missing.

But as I said, it is just a survival mode right now. Story mode will hopefully add real horror elements past cheap jumpscares. It is also mentioned shootouts will be added.
