However, I was initially frightened by digital games, like I am of all things that I don't understand, so I've purchased physical copies of all of my games so far. My question is, could I theoretically buy a digital copy of a game I already own on disc , sell my physical copy, but continue with my progress? Basically, would buying the digital version of the game basically just 'unlock' the version that's already installed so that I wouldn't need the disc to play it?
